So let me start by saying how amazing this trip was! Literally it was relaxing, beautiful, delicious, new, and inspiring all within 8 days of me visiting. I happened to have gone with my Boyfriends family, and we had a blast! I can’t stress how soooo very nice and relaxing this trip turned out. We booked our stay at the beautiful La Blanc spa and resorts and let me tell you they wait on you hand and foot.
Every need at ANY time was accounted for while staying at this resort. Food was delicious and plentiful! They offered 5 different dinner spots, 3 lunch (Sometimes 4) Lunch restaurants and 1 Breakfast. But let me tell you. You will NEVER run out of options.
Our resort offered us $1500 in room credits and we took full advantage of these for the spa and different excursions on and off of the resort. The Spa was the best I’ve ever been too; indulging in their nail and message and facial services you will look and feel refreshed and beautiful. On one of the off resort credits we visited one of the close by islands where we traveled by a magical ferry. On the Island we seen most things that you would see in any major city, and some artisanal things from street vendors. While that can be nice, we can to see the culture and some sight seeing and ended up with so many memories!
The island was relatively small so you could rent a Golf cart and ride around taking pictures just as we did! Stopping by the many amenities like restaurants, shopping, and entertainment. It’s a very touristy town, so you know how those things typically go. Now enough about my trip (for now) and on to yours! If you plan on traveling to Cancún here is a couple tips I have for you. Airbnb’s are nice but if you don’t know the language, no relatives, and aren’t staying long, stay in a resort. Most times they do everything in their power to make sure your stay is nothing less than the best of their capacity. Do your research on resorts, there’s tons of options for different price points so make sure you look at the amenities to see who offers the best and what works for you.
Just keep in mind your budget. Which includes all of the unexpected costs of taxes, tipping, and buying any food or clothes. It’s a touristy down and destination type of place and most of the people who live and work in Cancún live off of tips and believe you and me they expect and deserve those tips. If you don’t plan on staying in your room all day and night and not have anything to eat plan for at LEAST $50 a day worth of tipping services.
Now other than the money/budget situation the last thing I recomennd is having a plan. You don’t have to necessary go with a plan but it will definately help and cut time of “what do I do next” dilemma. It will also eliminate the whole I wish we could have gotten around to this thing. Blogs, resource guides, and even the staff and the locals are always super helpful ideas on fun things to do and eat! Ok a forreal last thing I have to through out there is make sure you have fun, let loose, and show me your pictures!
What was your experiance going or traveling to Cancún? I want to know!
